We've had so much rain and dark skies that my tomato plants are not much bigger than when I put them in the ground at the beginning of June.

My garden's the pits. Terrible year, it inched up to 70 degrees today. We put a tin roof on our greenhouse and my tomatoes don't like it and anyway
they weren't doing good already, as it's been so cold. They are just flowering and they only have about a month to do the whole thing and get something
resembling tomatoes on them.
The good news is my poppies look great! But we can't eat 'em. I'm giving up gardens and getting a new hobby. Sorry I've been gone for a while, now I'll have to catch up on all the gossip. Hope all are well. Best, Jan.

Cucumber and squash plants are flourishing. Tomatoes suck; they're small, wrinkled, and this week they started turning black. A state "expert" on
tv says it's tomato blight.
